"I have known Mike and his family for over twenty years.  I have watched him mature from a fifth grader, wrestling at St. Albert’s grade school, through his years at St. Edward High School and the University of Michigan, both as a competitor and as a coach.  " Coach Greg Urbas, St Edward High School.

"Mike has personally given many clinics to our wrestlers at St. Edward and at other high schools throughout Ohio and Michigan.  He also was our lead coach on our Ohio Junior National Team, preparing them well before, during, and after their competitions.  Mike has run the commuter camp at St. Edward High School the past five years.  This camp attracts wrestlers from all over Ohio and surrounding states.
